3 cups water
1 cup raw honey

Pour in the water to a saucepan (medium-sized) and then add the ginger, cinnamon, cloves, and the elderberries.

Bring this to a boil and then cover it and then reduce it to simmer from 45 minutes to an hour until the liquid will reduce in almost half.

Remove this from heat and then let it cool until this can be handled.

You should then mash the berries using a spoon or perhaps any flat utensil and then pour it through a strainer into a bowl or jar.

Through the discarded elderberries and let its liquid cool to lukewarm.
